Description

"People we love die, and we're terrified to go back and experience them because we think it's so painful. Well, what if it's the opposite? What if it's just stepping into the love you always wanted?"

Here Katie shares her simple wisdom on bereavement, as she does The Work with three people who have lost someone important: a young woman whose father died in the past year, a man whose niece, a small and wonderful child, died eight years ago, and a man in his seventies who lost his father back in childhood, when he went away to war.

"There's no getting over it," says one participant.

"No," Katie tells him. "You can't get over love." And she coaches him through what she calls "visits": sitting with an open heart and holding the image of the beloved. "And when the tears roll and someone says, "Are you sad?" you can say, "I'm ecstatic. I'm visiting with my niece."
